    I have baked bread regularly for forty years. The best bread I've ever made is made with the organic Hard Red winter wheat from Montana Flour and Grain. I grind the wheat just before I make the bread. People rave about the flavor, and I can barely keep up with the demand of my family.

    The grain is great - I look forward to a year of wonderful sourdough! One note on packaging: the box my 50# bag was shipped in was pretty much destroyed but, since the paper sack was also securely bagged in some type of unbreachable sack, no grain was lost.

    I bake my own bread for years and use only organic grains. I ordered the first time at "Montana-Flour & Grains". I'm very satisfied. The grains are in a paper bag. Which I like better than plastic bags The grains looks good and the quality is what it promises.

    I am a home baker, who has been buying whole grains direct from Montana farmers for many years and have never been disappointed or had an issue. After recently buying some hard red Spring wheat on Amazon , for the fast, free shipping, and finding weevils in the bag, I decided to stick with Montana. This is an excellent red wheat, which I mix 50/50 with Kamut for some of my recipes. However, Einkorn is fast becoming a new favorite for bread and rolls. I

    I grind my own specialty flours and the most from this hard red wheat. I feed my sour dough starter with it. I bake bread, cakes, cookies, and breakfast treats with it. I even cook it in my crock pot overnight for a great hot cereal. Best of all, you ship it to my house.

    I bought a 50 pound bag. I dug around pretty deep and was not able to find any chaff. So far it is very clean and has a very low moisture content. The quality and taste is as good as it gets. I suspect the entire 50 pounds will warrant the 5 stars.

    I've been purchasing wheat from MF over two years. The quality is always good. When I use it to make 100% whole wheat bread I found the flour can absorb a lot of water and the gluten is very good. Very happy!

    This is my third time ordering from Montana Flour and Grain and I have always been impressed. The wheat is very dry and clean. The taste is exceptional when milling the berries for flour and baking bread. It simply warms the heart to smell fresh baked bread knowing it comes from exceptional quality. Thanks for providing this to a novice baker:)
