I received my order quickly, the grain was clean and packed well for safe shipping.
Freshly ground, it makes wonderful, lively, sweet/earthy smelling sourdough bread. Delicious!

I also appreciate the phone conversation with one of your staff who clarified a difference between the hard red spring and hard red winter berries relating to moisture content in bread loaves made from each.

I buy from Montana because their products are better (cleaner) than what I can get locally. Yes, the spring wheat is cleaner than the spring wheat at my local vendors, but it is not as clean as the spelt, rye, or winter wheat that I have bought from Montana in the last couple of weeks. No, bugs, just some fine dust from dusty harvest conditions.

Received order on time as was promised. The grain was clean, and packed well. For the first time I made bread with fresh flour and the bread was very delicious.

I switched from hard winter to hard spring wheat. I am on my second 10 lb. order. I measure the amount of rise above the rim of the pan and put it in the oven at 7/8 inch. I measure height above the rim after baking. With winter wheat I get 5/8 inch oven spring and with spring wheat I get 1 inch. Beautiful! Product is clean, consistent, well packaged and shipped fast. What a blessing to have this available.

Berries were clean and in good condition. The flavor was fragrant and the protein content was good for 100% whole wheat sourdough. No signs of malting, which might indicate poor storage.
