    I recently bought my fourth 50lb bag of Kamut White Flour. I bake bread three times a week alternating from sliceable
    bread for toast and sandwiches and French loafs for eating with stews, soups etc. If you are a bread lover and have never tried this the flavor and texture will blow you away. It makes mean pizza, killer biscuits, and awesome pie crust. Please don't run out.....

    Just used your white Kamut flour to make sourdough. I used 100% white Kamut with both the "no kneed" and Tartine "fermentation" high hydration schemes. The dough was not over proofed but both loaves deflated a bit when transferring from the banneton to my Lodge "baker". This does not happen when I use KA bread flour. That said, the bread baked nicely and the product was "dense" but delicious. Makes great toast as well.

    I have been purchasing this flour for the past year and a half. Purchase it in 50 lb size. Great for baking. Rises a little less than all purpose flour and is slightly more dense...and I do mean slightly. Toasts great. Love, love, love this flour. This flour does not bother my husband’s gluten intolerance, either. We won’t buy any other flour.

    I've ordered both the white and wheat Kamut flours which I use together in most of the sour dough breads I bake. I love the silky feel of the dough and the moistness that the flours add. The best part of all, though, is the flavor! The cost of shipping is not cheap, but by combining the Kamut flours with other organic flours available locally, I can stretch the Kamut flour to last for months. The breads I make with these flours include sun dried tomato sour dough, a multi-grain sour dough, and a German seed bread. None of them would be as good without the Kamut flour. In this order, I included the purchase of spelt flour and can't wait to try it.

    I used to use another brand of Kamut wheat for baking, but I would have such a hard time with my bread being too dense. However, I made multiple loaves of bread, rolls, and cookies with it and all rise as they should and are delicious! My bread was so light and fluffy. Beibg allergic to regular, modern wheat, it has been wonderful to have this flour. Also, the pricing is better in the long run buying in bulk than the small bags I can get at the store from another brand, even with the shipping cost. $14 shipping for a 10lb bag is as good as it's going to get when you're not buying from a giant company.

    We are very happy with the quality and purity of this flour. It DOES make a difference in the quality of the baking (bread, pizza), and you feel good about the Non-GMO aspect. We buy 2-50lb bags and then store them in smaller Super Saver bags. Well worth the effort.
    Shipping makes the cost better than supermarket Non-GMO flour, and better quality.

    I was not sure what to expect when I ordered the flour so when it arrived last week I wa eager to open it up and try it out.

    Who'd a thunk! It looked like regular flour! The proof would be in the biscuits, so I made a small batch and they cooked up quite well and tasted just as good as ever! It required a bit more milk but our weather is very dry at present so might be the real reason.

    The flour itself appears to me to be just a smidgen more off-white than regular store-bought un-bleached and there is a slight bitterness to the flour (to my taste buds) but not enough to worry about. It bakes well, stuff tastes great so I'll continue using it.

    We have been using this product for making Indian bread and it tastes awesome. Actually, this time mistakenly they shipped us grains instead of flour . When we called them about their mistake they acknowledged it right away and shipped a right product without a delay. This is called customer service and we are extremely gratified. As far the product, it is better for us than the regular wheat because we are gluten sensitive and this product does not cause us any stomach upset after eating the bread made from it. Keep up the great service and our only wish is that shipping gets cheaper than the product we ordered.
